Our mission:
-
We are a Montreal West Island support group for those who need help dealing with a diagnosis
of prostate cancer and coping with the ensuing problems. Our membership of approximately
250 individuals meets monthly for talks and conversation. We also disseminate information at
a wide range of community functions and in our newsletters.

Our recent affiliation with the Prostate Cancer Canada Network:

This summer our group became affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Canada Network and our
name changed accordingly from Montreal West Island Prostate Cancer Support Group to Prostate
Cancer Canada Network - Montreal West Island.

Our meetings:
-
We meet on the fourth
Thursday of every month except December, July and August. Our meetings involve
an invited speaker, followed by refreshments and conversation. A wide variety of helpful
literature is available for takeout and/or review.

Our next meeting on February 23, 2012:

Our speaker will be Dr. Jacques Corcos, Professor of Urology, McGill University and the JGH. His talk is entitled
"Focal Therapy - New Treatment Avenue of Prostate Cancer."

We meet in the Sarto
Desnoyers Community Centre, 1335 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, Quebec.

Admission and parking are free.

Our meetings
begin at 7:30PM and typically last about an hour and a half.
